That Certain Tenderness by Justice V – East L.A. Garage Soul 45

That Certain Tenderness b/w Things Get Worse by Justice V - East Los Angeles Soul 45 Panorama Records #55 I initially bought this record for the Northern Soul side "Things Get Worse". I flipped the record over to hear an East LA Soul Chicano Soul cut worthy of being on any of Art Laboe's compilations. Although I don't think they are Chicano they definitely were influenced by the genre. I love the honesty in this tune, my favorite part is the rap in the middle that starts with, "Darling, I know that sometimes I'm pretty hard to live with". I won't ruin the rest of the song for you, because the rap is the meat of the song. This type of honesty is something I choose to work on daily.
